What is the role of a housing counselor?
NPHS is a HUD approved housing counseling organization providing solid, unbiased advice on foreclosure prevention. Our housing counselors, with years of experience in short sale negotiations and foreclosure prevention programs, provide advice on defaults, foreclosures, and credit issues. We will work with you to understand your personal situation and at your direction will negotiate with your loss mitigation department to determine what options are best for you.

What if I don’t want to contact my loss mitigation department ?
As a non profit organization, our counseling programs are free of charge. Each of our housing counselors are certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. We can work with you and your bank to determine available options and next steps required. Contact us first, we can help you be get prepared.
